Breathtaking Sete Cidades Off-Road Jeep: Azores Must-See!

Our tour guide was Mariano and he was awesome. The way he explained everything and the way he makes you feel as if you were his friend just everything was great.

Lots of bouncing around in Jeep. Be sure and sit in front or second seat and not in back jump seats! Great views of crater lakes.

What an amazing half day tour. Weather wise, we had a perfect day. We went off road around the top of the Sete Cidades volcano and saw views that left us in awe. Pictures cannot do it justice. Highly recommend you see it for yourself. Our guide was great.

Great day from start to finish. Our guide, Ricardo, was an incredibly knowledgable local. Fortunately, weather was on our side for the entire day, so we saw and did so much! The views were breathtaking, the lunch was great, and we enjoyed the company from the other travelers we met on the tour.

We did the half-day tour (in a Land Rover- as pictured- not a Jeep) and it was fantastic. The other peopled not show up, so w have the driver/host all to ourselves. Beautiful scenery we could not have reached without hiking a lot. Great explanations of what we were seeing from our host. Our host was very helpful, giving my spouse assistance in and out of the vehicle, and offering to take pictures for us. Overall, a really great experience!

Guide was very knowledgeable and interesting information, beautiful views and fun. Great stop for coffee and tarts and washrooms.

Marcio was an excellent tour guide who provided wonderful insight during our tour. Unfortunately, the weather in the Azores is very unpredictable and he was able to fill up the times where we would be at stops if it wasn’t pouring rain. He was very comical and made us laugh multiple times and also provided great stories about the history of the islands. Somehow, we were still able to get a very small window of a view from the visto do rei without fog while 1 minute later was covered in clouds. I appreciated the tour and his ability to make the best out of bad weather Thanks Jennifer and Brooks

So glad I booked this independently and not through the ship. I feel we had a much more personalised tour, and didn't have to go round in a fleet of vehicles. Ricardo our guide and driver, was knowledgeable, friendly and clearly loved the Azores, and wanted to keep it special. The views were spectacular, and we felt safe at all times, despite the rutted and vertiginious tracks!
